How do I log weight for dumbbell and kettlebell exercises ?
It's always the weight of one- one dumbbell, one kettlebell, one cable stack.
When you are using two dumbbells or kettlebells, you log the weight of one dumbbell or kettlebell. Our points formula assumes and accounts for both weights being used.
So, for example, if I shoulder press two 20 lbs. dumbbells for 12 reps, it's 20 lbs x 12.
In the case where it's a one armed activity, you only need to log one set for both arms. Again, we've programmed for the consideration that you are working both sides of your body evenly.
In this case, if I do 20 one arm kettlebell swings at 15 kgs with my left arm, then do another 20 with my right arm, I only need log one set of 15 kgs x 20.
So what about cable stacks ? Again, only one weight, not the total.
A cable crossover with two stacks of 60 lbs for 10 reps would be 60 lbs x 10.
